March 2008

I have found that when Democrates cannot intelligently respond to something, they throw out the racism card.  They try to intimidate and make the person feel guilty.  I come from a long line of non-guilt white people.  In response to Guy who left me this comment concerning my blog about Barack Obama being patriotic….or not.

“Jeremiah Wright is (was) a U.S. Marine! There is No One more Patriotic than a U.S. Marine! How Dare Anyone Question His Patriotism or that of Barack Obama! That is MaCarthyism at its Worst! Don’t play the Who’s more Patriotic Game! That is awful and so evil that it allows you to attack a Christian Minister and a Christian Church. you put Country before GOD? The American Sin of White Racism is not something you can squelch or wish away by destroying the reputation of a Brave and Patriotic Marine’s right to excercise his God Given 1st Amendment Rights of Free Speech and Freedom of Religion by labelling him Unpatriotic! If anyone has earned the right to criticize the Sins of America’s Racism it is a Christian, Black, Marine that Served his Country and Shook Hands with Bill Clinton and Helped to Heal President Johnson at the Bethesda Naval Hospital (See Wikipedia Photo of Jeremiah Wright). If you have a problem with A Marine’s Patriotism or any other Public Servant like Barack Obama, Tell it to the Marines! Tell it to his Face! Tell it to the Church that Prays for America to Repent and to love All its Neighbors Black and White! Tell it to Jesus who called the Prophetic Voice of Jeremiah Wright to show the Sin of White Racism is still alive an well. Tell it to the Katrina Victims and the Jena 6! Tell it to Black Folks in America. We Love America, but Does America Truly Love Us? Show Your Patriotism by Visiting a Black Church This Sunday and see what is really the Racial Divide in this Country.”

MY RESPONSE:  Oh My God! And I say that as a cry to him for you! My father was a Marine who served in World War II. He took a bullet to the head at Iwo Jima, he took a bullet in the chest in Guam. Talk to someone else about patriotism.  Never in my life did I hear anything but praise of our country from my father’s lips.  My father is rolling over in his grave at the words of your so called patriotic Jeremiah Wright. My brothers both served in the Viet Nam war. One of them wounded twice himself. All were fighting for this great country that we all live in. Many more are fighting now to keep our country safe and secure from terrorists.  Or do you not remember 9/11.  How dare you throw the name of good American fighting men into the fire with Jeremiah Wright and his friend Barack Obama.  By the way, did you ever read “High Treason – The Assassination of JFK  the Case for Conspiracy”?  Seems to me that Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marine just like your Jeremiah Wright.  Don’t talk to me about patriotism in the same sentence that those two can be placed.

Tell it to the church who loves black and white?  I truly believe what the scriptures say about God placing people into positions of leadership. And I also believe that if Barack Obama wins the presidential election, Jeremiah Wright will have gotten his wish, “God damn America”.

I am tired of the black community tirelessly complaining that they are the abused and trodden on in the United States.  I grew up the daughter of a Syrian woman and an Irish man.  I have a darker than normal complexion.  Actually, I was often called a nigger when I was growing up.  Did I let the little minds of ignorant people keep me down?  No, I rose above their ignorance, making the problem theirs not mine, and am a well adjusted adult woman.  There has been too much coddling to the wants of certain ethnic groups in our country.  No one living today has done anything that has placed the black community where they are except for the fact that as a government we have given away too many free benefits.  For example, there are more young black women on welfare than any other ethnic group.  There are more black children being raised in fatherless homes than any other ethnic group.  There are more black men in our prison systems than any other ethnic group. It is my opinion, that in order for the black community to rise out of what they feel the white community has placed them, they need to stop doing what they do to themselves first  That old Bible verse, Jeremiah Wright probably knows this one, “Why do you look at the speck of saw dust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in yours”, comes to mind.

Barack Obama insisted hours after Don Imus spoke his now famous “nappy headed ho’s” dialogue that Imus be fired.  But Barack Obama did not distance himself from Jeremiah Wright, no, instead he embraced the man further.  That’s another character flaw in Barack Obama, as far as I am concerned.  Enjoy the following videos.

“A moral or theological appeal based on a white definition of morality or theology will serve as a detriment to our attainment of black freedom. The only option we blacks have is to fight in every way possible, so that we can create a definition of freedom based on our own history and culture. We must not expect white people to give us freedom. Freedom is not a gift, but a responsibility, and thus must be taken against the will of those who hold us in bondage.”                      James Cone
Reverend James Cone began the Black Liberation Theology at the same time he embraced the Black Power Movement.  In an effort to boost the then newly enacted desegregation order by the federal government Black Liberation Theology sprang up across the south.  It was, unfortunately, a necessary evil at the time with many whites still not adhering to the governments decree.  White churches, mainly in the south, still carried the mentality of the 1950’s within their walls.
Today, however, that is no longer the norm for most churches in the United States.  In fact, it would be unusual to hear a sermon preached on Sunday morning that included anything but forgiveness and love for all mankind, including or neighbors.  That is, unless you are a black person attending a church that preaches Black Liberation Theology.   From the select few that have made it to the airwaves within the past few weeks, it would seem that Black Liberation Theology is more about hate than love, more about slurring the white population with racist remarks than embracing a wholeness of community, and more about de-patriotism than patriotism.
There is no room for hypocrisy in any race.  Blacks cannot shout that they are being treated unfairly by racist white people when they themselves are propogating racist actions from, of all places, the sacred pulpit.
This truly is a time for change.  This is truly a time to stop keeping the black community down.  This is truly a time for the black community to stop keeping themselves down.  But who needs to pull the plank out of their eye?  How much does this retired black pastor make in one year?  Would he be considered  rich, black man keeping the poor black people in their place?  Sort of like the Saducees and Pharisees of Jesus time.

Talk radio has been highlighting certain issues that have not made it on the nightly television news shows.  For some interesting listening enjoyment, check out the links below from Hugh Hewitts talk radio show.  There is some fascinating audio from Barack Obama, himself, on his book “Dreams of My Father”.1.     http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/TalkRadio/Show.aspx?RadioShowID=5&ContentGuid=7d7a5ecf-8f6c-43eb-9206-6b4e59028aa8

These clips lend a real view into why Obama has nothing good to say about “white people”  (his own words).  Again, these audio cassasettes were recorded by Obama, himself.  Nobody else is reading them for him.  It is truly an eye-opening exeperience to listen to the man’s racist remarks out of his own mouth.  He wrote the book in 1998, however, he recorded the cassettes 2005.

I found your speech on March 18, 2008 insulting to my intelligence, and personally insulting to me as a white American.  I have never done anything wrong to the black community.  I am proud that we have come to the point where a black man, or woman, can do what only white men could have done less than fifty years ago.  I don’t owe the black community an apology for anything.  In fact, the black community owes my family, and a great many other families, a great debt, not the other way around.  My great, great, great uncle died in the Civil War so the black population could be free.  Think about that one.  It’s not all about you.

For instance, how would the black community feel if there was an all White Entertainment Television?  They would scream we were being racist and segregating the white and black population.  NEWSFLASH:  What is BET?  Oh, yes, Black Entertainment Television.  Yes, they have that.  But whites aren’t allowed to scream racism over that, are we?  And another example: http://www.nabse.org/about.htm   This organization’s primary purpose is to educate “black children”  and promote “black educators”, etc.  Notice a pattern there?  I wonder how they would feel if we had an organization primarily established for the education of white children and the purpose of promoting white educators.

And in a rather interesting article found at:

            http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D0CE7DE1531F93AA15756C0A967958260&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=all

I found this interesting little piece.

“Since the Federal order was issued in 1984, (to make the almost all black college at least 50% white) the percentage of white students at Tennessee State has fluctuated, finally growing to 34.5 percent last fall, from 31.2 percent in 1985. The effort has not always gone smoothly. Dawn Vaden, an 18-year-old nursing major who is white, said repeated slurs by blacks have made her feel unwelcome. Her father gave her a canister of Mace after she decided to attend the university. She lives in an off-campus apartment, and her parents have forbidden her to take evening courses that would cause her to be on campus at night.  “I don’t think it will ever be 50-50,” Miss Vaden said. “This is their school. I don’t think they are going to give it up.’ “

WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT?  Black racism against whites?  MR.OBAMA, PLEASE EXPLAIN TO YOUR BLACK POPULATION THAT THEY CANNOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!

            There that’s off my chest.

I found a new blog site tonight, that I really like.  It is RightNews.  You can find a link to it in my blogroll.  Here is a quote I found on the About page.

“There is a saying, “If a person’s words are congruent with their actions, you can believe their words. If however, their words say one thing while their actions say another – never believe their words – always believe their actions.”

Wow! Barack Obama should not be going to that church on Sunday.  Especially now, since he knows what the general agenda of that spiritual leader is.  Reminds me of what my momma used to tell me, “Action speaks louder than words”.  She was always such a wise woman.

DetailsBarack Obama wrote Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance more than ten years ago.  However, the writings in the book do tend to show the side of Obama that would make him choose a church like the one pastored by Jeremiah Wright.

One reviewer of the book stated on the Barnes and Noble website (find link below): “He idolizes a black father who deserted him, but seems to ignore a white mother responsible for his greatness.”  And then this addendum to his book from Barack Obama, himself, ten years after he wrote the book and had received unfavorable responses, by many, about the lack of respect and discussion of a white mother who raised him after his black father abandoned him at two years old:   “I think sometimes that had I known she would not survive her illness, I might have written a different book — less a meditation on the absent parent, more a celebration of the one who was the single constant in my life. In my daughters I see her every day, her joy, her capacity for wonder. I won’t try to describe how deeply I mourn her passing still. I know that she was the kindest, most generous spirit I have ever known, and that what is best in me I owe to her. “

I wonder why he would have only written more respectfully about her and her white family if he knew she was dying?  Was this not a woman who made sacrifices for him?  Made sure that he was taken care of when a black father deserted him?  Yet, he idolized a black man and basically cast his white mother aside.  How demoralizing for this poor woman.  He can say whatever he wants, but as a mother of a twenty-two year man, I would be very hurt if he began to idolize a man that had abandoned him and myself.  I would be very hurt to see him spouting racist remarks against whites in a book that he himself had written.  I would be very hurt to hear him say disrespectful things about my mother, his grandmother, who helped to care for him and provide him with the education that made it possible to be a black man running for President of the United States.  I would be very hurt to have him attend a church for 20 years and then not be honest enough to admit he CHOOSE that church because of the agenda they had against white people.

I will say it for his mother, “Shame on you Barack Hussein Obama.  Shame on you for not respecting me and my family enough while I was living.”

For even more enjoyment, listen to Barack Obama in his own words:

            til later,

            from the mind of…

Why doesn’t Barack Obama have his hand over his heart like the patriotic Governor of New Mexico, or Hillary Clinton?  Is it for the same reason he removed his American flag pin from is lapel?  Is he really a patriotic American or just a black islamic Louis Farrakhan lover like I think he is?  His former pastor hates America, in fact he preaches from his pulpit that he wants God to damn America.  This could be one reason why Obama’s wife, Michelle Obama, “has never been proud of America”.   This pastor is the same one who held Louis Farrakhanin such high regard that he bestowed an award on him.

That’s not all.   The new pastor of his church in Illinois, is just as racist as the previous, spouting from the pulpit unloving, unchristian, anti-come-together, verbage about Sean Hannity.  If a white pastor had stood up there and said those same type of remarks against black individuals there would be car fires in the streets of Detroit, LA, and New Orleans.  There would be demands for apologizes and resignations directed toward the white individuals who said those racist remarks.  Black leaders would be hounding news media to make sure it was front page news and headline stories.  It is not alright to demand certain behavior from whites in this country when the black leaders are doing exactly the same thing toward the white people.  Fairness across the board please.

I challenge the news media to call these racist “pastors” out. I truly believe God shudders when they open their unloving mouths.  Jesus would call them Pharisees and fools if he were here.  There is nothing loving about them.  There is nothing Christian about them.  I think the federal government should yank there non-profit status from them.  Especially since they are practicing politics from the pulpit.  Show me the love, Jeremiah Wright in your unloving sermons.  Show me the love of your fruits that you are growing on your tree?  All I can hear is the hate that you are stirring up among the people of different colors in my America.  Shame on you.  You are a traitor of this United States.  Those who listen to you and follow you, respect you, and try to defend you are traitors also.  I am sickened as an American to have heard what I have heard from your pulpit over the last few weeks.

You say you want Change, Mr. Obama, I would like to know what change that is?  I see nothing but a change toward hatred of any person that is not black in color.  I don’t want that kind of change.   Obama is not a man for change.  He is a man ready to allow the same old black rhetoric to live on…not allowing black Americans to rise above it finally.
