Okay, so every now and then I happen upon this WordPress blog named Proud Atheists which just rips apart (like crazy) Christianity.
I commented on his website about something, (my memory is not that long anymore to remember what it was about) but as soon as I mentioned Jesus all of my comments on his site “disappeared”. Maybe I was bothering his conscious, I don’t know.
But I have decided to pray for him, and his website. I am calling on my fellow Christians to bear him, and all the others who go to his site, up in daily prayer to God.
I know, I am positive, I am convinced, that he will be our brother one day if we all pray for him.
Do you hear that Proud Atheist? That is one thing I can still do in this country, pray for You. Unlike the National Day of Prayer, which President Obama basically ignored, we can do this.
Please add him and his site, along with his readers to your daily prayers.
til later,
ftom the mind of…

This is rich. I love that blog. From the evidence I’ve seen on the actual strength of prayer, which is actually more detrimental, Proud Atheist will only become a prouder atheist. Good luck with the prayer and bone rattling or whatever it is you’ll do. lol

The strength of prayer is much stronger than you, as a presumed non-believer, can even comprehend. We don’t need luck, we have God.
Unlike Proud Atheist who deleted my comments about Christianity, I will allow our Freedom of Speech which we are so proud of in America, and keep your comment.
Actually, I think I’ll add you to my prayer…

Who are they going to talk to? Obama?

Thanks, P.A. My prayer list just got longer!

If God exists, then you are not calling anything to his attention that He/She/It doesn’t already know. Which makes me wonder what exactly the point of this exercise is, even for a believer. Are you expecting God to specially intervene in Proud Atheist’s life and flip some kind of believer switch in his mind? Possess him with a Holy Ghost? Wouldn’t any such shenanigans endanger his free will?

James,
I agree with you. I am not calling anyting to His attention that He doesn’t already know…he just wants to make sure we understand that we need him, so he asks us to pray. Pray in his name and it will happen. That’s a promise. I might not see it happen right away, but I can be sure it will. The point is, it makes me trust him, explicitly. And yes, I specifically am praying for that switch to flip. One day, he won’t be so proud, and hopefully, God will be able to speak to him…and will be able to express his free will just as he does today.

LOL, you’re kidding right? i think i remember your delusional rants at the proud Atheist blog. Wow, are you out there jesus freak. By the way, we’re all still waiting for your evidence of an Iron Age invisible sky-pixie.

ipu4me,
I never ranted on P.A.’s webblog. I directed one commenter on his site to a web address to a church I thought he might be interested in, because he was asking…it was succinctly removed. There goes the power of free speech in America on P.A.’s webblog. Anyway, look around you, do you think this world just “poof” happened? Now, that’s the evidence I would like to see, “poof” we’re here because of a big explosion and a small fish that grew legs.
I’m too intelligent to believe that.

Prayer just lets you feel smug that you are helping without actually having to do anything. And why announce that you’ll pray for a non-believer. We dont want your prayer and presumably you expect god to hear you do it!

Fake Name,
Why announce I will pray for a non-believer? It’s simple, because at some time in everybody’s life, they will call out to God, whether they think they believe in him or not. It might be because they just found out they are dying, a loved one is in trouble, a child ran away and they can’t find them, whatever…the point is, if they know that someone is there to pray for them (or with them) my blog site is here. Do I have a direct connection to God? I sure do through Jesus Christ my Lord.
Fake Name, I just added you to my prayer list…and God is listening. No smugness here, just reality.

You have honoured Proud Atheists very greatly by publicly claiming you will pray for him and his site. You’ve given them a lot of recognition and will bring more people to see his site. I found his site through this one. Way to go…

You don’t understand the power of prayer. For every one of you that finds Proud Atheists site, will also be directed to my site, which is praying for everyone of you. If only one of the people who comes from P.A.’s site to mine investigates Christianity, then praying for P.A.’s site was well worth it.
