I’m apalled. I’m flabergasted. I’m upset. Get on the bandwagon and support the true Conservative. I am not sure why this isn’t a no brainer.

Like Sarah Palin said tonight on Hannity, “Steel sharpens steel”. Let the debates continue, Rick Santorum is getting better in his debates.

Why do we want a Moderate Republican? That is just wrong.  I urge you, if you are a true Conservative, a person who wants real change in the White House, go to the following link and throw a few dollars into Rick Santorum’s donation jar.  It will be the best donation you’ve made so far to politics.

Rick Santorum is running in the Iowa caucus at somewhere around 16%; which puts him in a likely third position as of today, only 4% behind Mitt Romney!  Yeah, baby.  Now that is more like it!

Peoria, AZ      I was horrified as I drove through my local McDonald’s to see a “We’re open on Christmas Day” sign next to the drive through screen.  “Total (expletive) Grinch,” I said to myself as I drove up to pay for my Diet Coke.  After talking to the young woman at the window I got the distinct feeling that this Manager wasn’t very happy about having to work it either.  “Stinking (expletive) Grinch,” I said as I drove away from her smiling face.  Knowing that this person owned 15 other McDonald’s in the Glendale/Phoenix area I drove to another of their restaurants the following day.  The same scenario played out, however, this time the manager gave me the number of the owner; so I called and left them a very lengthy message accusing them of being the greedy, expletive, people that they are.  Yes, I am very opinionated on this and decided to share it directly with them.  I got a voicemail from someone later wanting to “explain” things to me.  Yeah, I’m going to be real understanding on this one, not.

It amazes me how far we have come as a society.  When I was growing up you couldn’t find a store open on Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.  If you didn’t have what you needed before that day arrived you were pretty well messed over.  Now we have WalMart setting the standards for holidays.   We have always had the Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day business openings, but really, who really cares about businesses being open on days that, since I was little and that was a long time ago, have always been open to generate money for businesses.  What is happening now is the “give an inch and they will want a mile” dilemma.  “Greedy, stinking, expletives.”  Ouch, did I hurt your feelings?  Good.

McDonald’s, and every other restaurant out there for that matter, you could count on to be family oriented.  McDonald’s has always pushed it’s marketing as being family friendly and kid oriented; so what does this say about owners of franchises who spit in the face of that? “Greedy, stinking, expletive” people come to mind.  Sorry, it just keeps looping through my head when I think of ways to describe them.  They know that most of their workers are in the teenage range; tell me how that is Christmas-kid friendly to yank them away from their families on Christmas?  You can’t, not in any real meaningful dialogue anyway.  So, go ahead and call me again so you can stinking, expletive, “explain” yourself to me.

Do you know the worst part of this is the thing that I have been running from for awhile now.  That being the realization that our country is truly going down the (expletive) sewer hole very quickly.  You know we’re in a really sad state when I start swearing in my head, because I do not ever swear…usually….at least outloud.

Go ahead, people of Glendale and the Phoenix area, eat at the stinking, expletive McDonald’s on 67th Av and Happy Valley Road, 67th Av and Beardsley, 19th Av and Bell Road and the other 12 McDonald’s these (expletive) people own…but I won’t be.  I will just drive down the road one mile and get my Diet Coke from Burger King!

The Kelley’s Awaiting Isaac

“You may remember this post, we had just hit the officially half way mark in our fundraising (AMAZING!!) when an announcement came that Isaac’s region increased their requirements while we were in mid process applying.  1 (possibly 2) extra trips half way around the world and additional documentation needed…Our hearts sank initially but we felt our response was to resist fear and discouragement and keep moving forward.

So, this is why you’ll be seeing a little blue thermometer under our original ~ he might look tall but he is MUCH smaller and than that big ol’ green one above him   More than anything, we are just SO astounded about where we are in the process with fundraising. Thank you to every man, woman and child who has prayed and donated to help precious Isaac.
